Squadron 42 demo pulled from CitizenCon 2946 as hoped-for 2016 release slips

The Squadron 42 gameplay demo expected at CitizenCon 2946 was not shown, and the campaign — which backers had hoped would ship in 2016 — did not launch that year. CIG's own Monthly Studio Report for October 2016 acknowledged in writing that the team "didn't wind up being able to show off" its Squadron 42 efforts at the event, and CIG shifted to an open-ended, quality-first schedule with no new release date.
